THE Nearshore BUSINESS
Devoteam has established a nearshore business in Portugal, leveraging the country’s skilled workforce and strategic location. This setup allows them to provide IT services and digital transformation solutions to clients across Europe.
The company has established a strategic nearshore office in Portugal, with locations in Lisbon, Porto, and Aveiro. This office is an integral part of the company's expansion plan, currently comprising a delivery team of 20 members. The goal is to scale this team significantly to 500 members in the near term and ultimately to 2,000 by 2028, contributing to a total nearshore workforce of 1,400 people.
The Portugal office specializes in AWS and cybersecurity solutions, complementing Devoteam's existing nearshore teams in Nantes (France), which focuses on Microsoft M-Cloud, and in the Czech Republic, which specializes in ServiceNow and Salesforce. Additionally, the Jordan office provides management consulting services.
This strategic positioning in Portugal not only enhances Devoteam's service offerings but also reinforces its commitment to meeting growing client demands through a highly skilled and diverse team.
Position Overview
Devoteam is seeking a dynamic and experienced Delivery Manager to lead the growth, recruitment, and assessment of our delivery team in Portugal. This role is crucial for optimizing resource utilization, managing IT project deliveries, and ensuring the swift onboarding and training of new team members.

The position reports directly to the Director General adjointe Devoteam France and Head of Nearshore Delivery..
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidates will be responsible:
Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development processes to build a high-performing team.
Monitor and improve resource utilization rates, ensuring that the team operates efficiently.
Manage and deliver IT projects, ensuring they meet quality and timeline requirements.
Assess team members' competencies and provide guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with the commercial team during the pre-sales phase to provide insights on team capabilities and project feasibility.
Serve as the primary point of contact between all subsidiaries regarding delivery-related matters.
Act as a sparring partner for Country Managers across Europe, providing advice and support on delivery strategies.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Qualifications
Proven experience in project management and delivery within the IT sector.
Strong recruitment skills with a track record of building and developing teams.
Excellent assessment and coaching abilities to enhance team performance.
Commercial acumen to assist in pre-sales activities and business development.
Ability to provide actionable insights to the local Managing Director regarding team capabilities and availability.
Familiarity with Cloud, Data, and DevOps technologies is a priority.
Fluent in English (mandatory) and French is a plus
